my experience with weed

Nasiru Mustapha Mafindi My Experience With Weed. by mr_man(m): 7:04pm I had just moved out of my parents house and was sharing a room with my "friend". I had no idea he smoked weed, despite his suspicious movements and signature weed scent(abi na odour?) barely two weeks after moving in with him, my worst fears were confirmed as he started bringing home his weed smoking buddies and they would occassionally roll a wrap and smoke it right there in the room or mix the weed with beans or spagehtti.  Being a very curious person i always wondered what made them happy after smoking, so i decided to find out for myself(wrong move)  It was a very hot day in february, a saturday i think it was, my friend was out as usual. I searched everywhere for his stash but couldn't find it so i decided to go and get mine. I arrived the weed joint all sweaty and nervous, half expecting to get muged but nobody seemed to be aware of my presence there, they were all on different planets all e

PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has announced automatic tickets for its governors seeking second terms in office. The offer means the governors will have to refuse to run before other candidates are considered. The only the PDP governor seeking a second term is Ibrahim Dakwambo of Gombe State. While the governors of Kaduna, Taraba and Adamawa States may be seeking re-election, they will be starting their first term as they merely completed the terms of their former governors. It also emerged Tuesday that President Goodluck Jonathan was only publicly endorsed as the sole candidate of the party after he had been given the right of first refusal. Adamu Mu’azu, the PDP National Chairman said Thursday that the party leadership had decided to give automatic tickets to state governors running for second term, who had performed creditably well, to re-contest their position in 2015. According to him, the governors will be given the right of first refusal. Mr. Muazu spoke when the pre

PDP stop ngillari from contesting 2015

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), may have shut the door on the governor of Adamawa State, Bala James Ngilari from contesting the 2015 governorship election in the state, with the retention of the zoning formula earlier agreed for the governorship bye =-election before a Federal High Court cancelled the conduct of the polls. The party’s National Working Committee (NWC), rose from  meeting on Wednesday, with an assuranc that the agreement reached with all the governorship aspirants in Adamawa state, zoning the governorship position to Adamawa Central will be fully respected. This effectively shuts the door on Mr. Ngilari who is from the Northern Senatorial district of the state. The decision of the party’s NWC followed a protest staged by the eight PDP governorship aspirants who had voluntarily withdrawn from the botched by-election earlier slated for October 11 in the State. The aspirants who were at the national secretariat of the party in Abuja, demanded for the exclusion of Ad

Jonathan To Amaechi : You’re A Political Rascal By George Agba — Oct 27, 2014 |  2 Comments President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday fired back at Rivers State governor, Mr. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi describing him as a political rascal and blackmailer who is always willing to denigrate the office of the president in a reckless attempt to promote his selfish political interest. According to him, “The immunity which he currently enjoys notwithstanding, Governor Amaechi should be under no illusions: a day of reckoning will surely come when he will answer for all his actions and false allegations against him (Jonathan), his wife, Dame Patience Jonathan and the federal government. why i want to be governor of taraba state-darius ishaku

Why I want to be Taraba State Governor – Ishaku Category: Sunday politics Published 2014 05:00 Written by Muideen Olaniyi The immediate past Minister of State for the Niger Delta, Architect Darius Dickson Ishaku, has said that his mission in Taraba State if voted into power as governor in 2015 will be to move the North-East state forward from being crisis- ridden to economic emancipation. Architect Ishaku, last week, obtained the governorship nomination form of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and spoke with journalists at his residence on why he quit the Federal Executive Council to pursue the gubernatorial ambition. He said, “As you’re aware, Taraba State is one of the troubled states in Nigeria today. Since Governor Danbaba Suntai was involved in a plane crash in 2012, things have not been the same in my state any longer. Peace has eluded us. What we hear now is war, war, war. There has not been infrastructural and economic development. The state is indebted t

the many ways to accent a throne

The pro Danbaba Suntai loyalists in the unfolding political drama in Taraba State are alleged to be fine- tuning plans to reenact the kind of political script that played out in Adamawa State recently leading to the ouster of former acting governor, Adamu Fintiri through a Federal High Court ruling that voided his emergence in the wake of Governor Murtala Nyako’s impeachment. Suntai made his second homecoming to Nigeria from his medical vacation in London over a month ago amidst drama and controversy but has not gone to his home state (Taraba). Rather he has been reportedly confined to a private guest house at Asokoro area of Abuja owned by General T.Y. Danjuma, an elder statesman from Taraba. Sunday Trust checks revealed that the pro-Suntai elements, referred to as the ‘cabal’, have approached the impeached former deputy governor, Alhaji Sani Abubakar Danladi who had been fighting a legal battle against his impeachment to work out a ‘political deal’ in anticipation o

HIV/AIDS is no more a death warrant

POWERED BY FHI 360 October 3, 2014 The Birthing of hope in Taraba State: An inspiring story of one life that brought back hope to so many other lives By Inside Nigeria Eleven years ago, Abraham Johnson, a young single man had lost all hope of ever rising from what seemed like his death bed. Abraham who was first diagnosed HIV positive in 1998 but hid his status and so could not access the available HIV treatment services until the year 2000. At this time, he had become seriously ill and was admitted into the then General Hospital, Jalingo. In 2002, he met the State team of FHI implementing the earlier IMPACT project who encouraged him to stop living in denial and embrace life by taking advantage of the free treatment made available through support of the United States Government.
