Top leaders from Taraba state converged on Abuja, Tuesday, to discuss the way forward in the realisation of the Mambilla Hydropower dam. In his remarks at the event held in Transcorp Hilton,  Taraba state helmsman, Governor Darius Ishaku said he organised the sensitization meeting to demonstrate the state's readiness to support the various initiatives of the ministry of power. He stressed that he was impressed with the determination of the Federal government in carrying out the project.  He noted further that the appointment of a Minister of Power from Taraba state was a very important decision in the realisation of the dream. Ishaku implored the federal government to ensure that Taraba State benefits from from the project. He said the sensitization committee will ensure that communities buy into the projects by agreeing to be compensated and relocated.
