Ibi residents lauds the federal government over commencement of IBI Bridge


    

Residents of Ibi local government area of Taraba State has applauded the federal government for the steps taken so far to commence the construction of the bridge in the area across River Benue .

The Residents who spoke to our Correspondent, expressed happiness over the mobilization of the company handling the project to site where alot of equipments are being moved to Ibi town for the take off of the project.

They said, when completed, the briadge will turn a new leaf for the area as far as economic growth is concerned.

According to them, the area was the shortest road linking Taraba with other states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

They also urged the federal government to sustain the tempo that the project needed to see to it’s logical completion, as it will benefit the common people.

A representative of RCC, the company handling the project, Samuel Wayas said that with their mobilization to site, the project has already commenced.

He noted that the speed of the work depends on the federal government’s commitment to the project .

Wayas, appealed to the residents of the area to be hospitable to the staff handling the project, promising that the company will engage a lot of youths in the area to benefit from the project.

Commenting on the development, the Chairman of Ibi local government council, Bala Bako commended the federal government under the chairmanship of President Muhammadu Buhari for the steps taken to actualize the project which he said it is their dream that become true.

Baki, who is also the ALGON Chairman in Taraba State, however, lauded the Taraba state government for creating an enabling environmen for the work to commence and urged the federal government to show commitment, so that the project will not be left to suffer.
