His Majesty Doctor Shekarau Angyu Masa - Ibi Kuvyon the Second was born on the eighteenth April, nineteen thirty seven to the Bagya Royal family of Angyu Masa - Ibi and Angyoko Buvni Awudi Kindaton during the reign of Aku Uka Abumanu Amadu the eighteenth Aku Uka. His Majesty's farther Angyu Masa - Ibi was the nineteenth Aku Uka and had reigned for five years from nineteen forty to nineteen forty five. And joined his ancestors when Prince Shekarau was just eight years old.

The determined and humbled prince begun his early education at Wukari Native Authority Elementary School in nineteen fifty at the age of thirteen. The serious attention Prince Shekarau gave to studies at the elementary school yeilded good results as he was among the successful pupils to pass the entrance examination to the prestigious senior primary school at Lupoi now Ussa local government area of Taraba State owned by the Sudan United Mission SUM.

Young Shekarau's favorite subjects at Lupoi were arithmetic, nature and agricultural science. He has special interest in football and athletes and was the captain of the school football team. He graduated from the SUM school in nineteen fifty seven and passed all the subjects in flying colors in the final examination.

Prince Shekarau was known to be extremely tolerant, reserved, honest and patient in life. He posses these attributes till his death. 

In nineteen fifty eight Prince Shekarau accepted an offer of appointment with Wukari Native Authority as a mail officer and was in charge of all correspondences in the Native Authority. As a result of Prince Shekarau's deligent commitment to duty and hard work he was within the shortest period of service promoted to the rank of Transport Officer. He also used the opportunity  provided by this position to learn driving and became professional in it. He then decided to make a career in driving. Based on his driving skills, he was employed to work in Kaduna, Lagos and Makurdi. 

Prince Shekarau Angyu  Masa - Ibi Kuvyon the second responded to the divine call and ascended to throne of his forefathers as the twenty fourth Aku Uka in nineteen seventy six. He succeeded Aku Uka Mallam Ada Ali in line with the aspiration and dream of every prince to be the King once there is the vacancy. 

The Prince married his sweetheart of many years Ayondo Kande in nineteen sixty one. However, on becoming the Aku Uka and in line with the Jukun Culture, he inherited two of the wives of his predecessor Mallam Ada Ali. He later married additional ten wives bringing the total to thirteen wives. Out of this number, two have passed on. He had eleven wives. His Majesty is blessed with sixty eight children, one hundred and eleven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.

The late monarch was a humane and generous giver. It is on line of this disposition that he established a non profit organization known as Shekarau Angyu Massa - Ibi Foundation. This outfit has taken care of the needy and vulnerable in the society. So far in the educational sector,  the foundation provided scholarships to students in tertiary institutions for courses of various levels of education. From first, masters to doctored degrees. It has also taken care of orphans, internally displaced persons and people living with disabilities. Widows are also in the top priority list of the foundation with the monthly budget of one hundred and  ten thousand Naira.

It is worthy to note that from January two thousand and six and December two thousand and twenty the foundation has spent nineteen million eight hundred thousand naira on its core activities.

In the reign of the modern Aku Uka doctor Shekarau Angyu Massa - Ibi Kuvyon the second Wukari has witnessed rapid transformation and infrastructural development. Few of such transformation and development include Federal Government College, Open University, Federal University, Kwararrafa University a community owned based university, Zenith Bank PLC, UBA PLC, GT Bank, NIRSAL Micro Finance Bank, Central and Izala mosque  CRC-N LCC Puje and Wukari, Nigerian Airspace Management Agency NAMA and many more.

In the course of discharging his duties as the paramount ruler and the devine ruler of the Jukun Doctor Shekarau Angyu Massa - Ibi Kuvyon the second was conferred on him the National Honor of the Commander of the Niger (CON), upgraded to the first class status, chairman Taraba State Council of Traditional Rulers, Chancellor University of Ilorin, Kwara State, Chancellor Federal University of Technology Owerri, Imo State, Honorary Doctor of Letters LLB by University of Ilorin, Honorary Doctor of Law LLD by University of Technology Owerri, Chancellor Federal University Dutse, Jigawa State, The President of Wukari Traditional Council and others too numerous to mention.

The pages of history books are filled with the activities of great men that gave expression to the vision of their people and society. His Majesty Doctor Shekarau Angyu Massa - Ibi Kuvyon the second CON was in the class of such legendary personalities. 

He exhibited exemplary leadership qualities for forty six year on the throne. Having distinguished himself as legendary leader, King of humanity and as devine ruler of Kwararrafa Kingdom.
