Governor ishaku signed violence free election accord

 Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku accompanied by Barr. GT Kataps the PDP National and Vice Chairman North East and other contenders today signed a peace accord at the police headquarters Jalingo Taraba state.

The peace Accord the CP said was to put the contestants from all political parties on check and to enable them play the game according to the rule. The Commisioner of police along side all Security chiefs in Taraba were in attendance and witnessed the accord.

The Governor in a brief remarks said he is excited that he was invited to sign an accord because there has been rumours going round that some parties are planning to disrupt the peace of the state and distablise the forthcoming elections. 

Darius said it is the responsibility of the CP and all security chiefs to ensure that law and order is been aheared to during and after the elections. The Governor also charged the securities to ensure that a free and level play ground is provided for voters to vote and exercise their civic rights.

Governor Ishaku also called on the state Residents Electoral Commisioner to ensure that he brings out his expertise in making sure that the elections in Taraba is rated best in the entire Nation.

He said as the Chief Executive officer of the State he won't allow anyone to disrupt the peace of the state and alerted the security chiefs to be aware that he will make them Leave their confort zone during the elections just to ensure that peace and order is maintained.

In his remarks CP taraba state David Akinremi  charged the candidates to advise their supporters and followers against thurgry and vises capable of breaking law and order during the up coming elections. He said elections are just plartforms for the citizens to select and decide who leads them and shouldn't be a field of hurting one another.

The DG DSS in a concise remarks assured the Governor that they will walk along the path of peace because what they are set to do is in line with the Governor's political mantra which says "Give me peace and I will give you development". He said the Governor is one of the political gladiators in the state and they will want to assure him of their efforts in making sure the game is played according to the rules
