Mama taraba debunks withdrawal rumors

The governorship candidate of United Democratic partyUDP in Taraba state Hajiya Aisha Alhassan has call on leaders at all levels to serve the people with justice and fear of God to reduce insecurity in the country.                

  Hajiya Alhassan who was also the immediate minister of women affairs and a former senator made the called shortly after returning to Taraba state since the christmass and new year braak in Jalingo.          

  According to her,if only leaders can serve the people with justice and fear of God the high levels of kinapping, farmers and herders conflicts and even the Boko Haram crisis will be put to rest.   

Senator Aisha who stressed that she had not withdrawn from  the governorship race as speculated in some quarters also pledged to unite the people of Taraba state irrespective of their ethnic and religious diffrences to bring abaut lasting peace in the state.                   Hajiya Aisha lso promised to harness the abundant mineral and natural resources in the state to boost internally generated revenue to empower youths to be self reliant to reduce the high level of restiveness among them if elected as Governor of Taraba state.

Grid collapse: Restoration in advance stage- TCN

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has said that the national grid restoration nationwide was in progress and has reached advanced stages. This, it said, has now led to power supply in the West, North-Central, South, East, and a large portion of the Northern parts of the country on Thursday afternoon. Statement signed by the TCN General Manager, Public Affairs, Ndidi Mbah, said the power supply restoration was sequel to the earlier total grid collapse, which occurred at about 12.35am on Thursday, causing outage nationwide, after over 421 days of consistent grid stability. “In the course of the grid restoration, the process initially suffered a setback; this does not amount to another collapse. In the course of any grid restoration process, challenges may be encountered. This happened today while the grid restoration was in progress, but it was promptly addressed. •Re-Plot to Release Kidnappers Terrorizing Jalingo The Chief of Gassol Alhaji Idris Yakubu Chiroma has rejected plots to link him to some persons arrested for kidnapping in Jalingo Taraba State.
