ORTOM WISHES BUHARI HITCH-FREE CAMPAIGN IN BENUE

As President Muhammadu Buhari takes his 2019 re-election campaign to Benue State, Governor Samuel Ortom wishes him and his entourage a hitch-free visit.

He urges the people of the state to accord the President all the necessary courtesy and respect which his office deserves.

Governor Ortom appeals to the people of the state to be law abiding and to refrain from acts of provocation such as offensive songs, posters and other messages that may heat up the polity.

He says Benue people are known to be very hospitable and friendly, and urges them to live up to this reputation when the President visits the state.

Governor Ortom, on behalf of the Government and people of Benue State, wishes President Buhari a peaceful outing in the state.

Grid collapse: Restoration in advance stage- TCN

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has said that the national grid restoration nationwide was in progress and has reached advanced stages. This, it said, has now led to power supply in the West, North-Central, South, East, and a large portion of the Northern parts of the country on Thursday afternoon. Statement signed by the TCN General Manager, Public Affairs, Ndidi Mbah, said the power supply restoration was sequel to the earlier total grid collapse, which occurred at about 12.35am on Thursday, causing outage nationwide, after over 421 days of consistent grid stability. “In the course of the grid restoration, the process initially suffered a setback; this does not amount to another collapse. In the course of any grid restoration process, challenges may be encountered. This happened today while the grid restoration was in progress, but it was promptly addressed. •Re-Plot to Release Kidnappers Terrorizing Jalingo The Chief of Gassol Alhaji Idris Yakubu Chiroma has rejected plots to link him to some persons arrested for kidnapping in Jalingo Taraba State.
