NLC Taraba urges workers to exercise patience, as government is making all arrangements to pay the new minimum wage.

The Taraba state Council of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC has appealed to workers in the state to exercise patience and restraint as concerted efforts are being made to ensure the implementation of the new minimum wage as approved by Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku.

The state Chairman of the union,Comrade Peter Jediel who gave the indication said already, the table and template for the implementation of the new package have been worked out ready for implementation.

Comrade Jediel said the NLC is doing all the needful as it is passionate towards ensuing early implementation of the new minimum wage to make life bearable to civil servants and people of the state considering the worsening economic situation in the country and the effects of the corona virus pandemic and other associated socio economic challenges.

 The Chairman assured that efforts are also being made to ensure the implementation of backlog of promotion of Teacher's, and Local government staff as well as enrolment of pensioners not captured for the monthly pension.

He requests workers in the St ate to put in their best and shun truancy, absenteeism, indiscipline and be punctual in reporting to work as well as be law abiding at all times  with a view     to ensuring maximum productivity in the civil service.
