NO FEUD BETWEEN LEGISLATIVE AND EXECUTIVE IN TARABA STATE- TARABA SPEAKER

Speaker of Taraba State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Joseph Albasu Kunini PhD, has described as a blatant lie from the pit of hell the rumour making the rounds that there was a physical altercation between him and the Executive Governor, Arc Darius Dickson Ishaku, in Abuja, recently.
According to him, there was no iota of truth in the said rumour, since the entire House of Assembly has been enjoying very cordial relationship with the Executive Governor over the years.
The Speaker who made the clarification on Wednesday, 11th November, 2020 during the plenary of the State House of Assembly wondered why the peddlers of the rumour would go to town with such mischief to tarnish the existing cordial relationship between the Executive and the Legislature in the State.
Against this backdrop, the Speaker urged Tarabans and the general public to disregard the said rumour, just as he warned that the State House of Assembly would not hesitate to deal decisively with the peddlers and perpetrators of such mischief in the State which has been enjoying relative peace.
"I want to categorically state that this House has been enjoying cordial relationship with the Executive Governor, Arc Darius Dickson Ishaku. The rumour is a blatant lie. No feud between the Speaker and His Excellency," he explained.
He further pledged that the State House of Assembly would remain focused in the discharge of its constitutional responsibilities and would not be detracted by the agents of discord among the people in the State.

Grid collapse: Restoration in advance stage- TCN

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has said that the national grid restoration nationwide was in progress and has reached advanced stages. This, it said, has now led to power supply in the West, North-Central, South, East, and a large portion of the Northern parts of the country on Thursday afternoon. Statement signed by the TCN General Manager, Public Affairs, Ndidi Mbah, said the power supply restoration was sequel to the earlier total grid collapse, which occurred at about 12.35am on Thursday, causing outage nationwide, after over 421 days of consistent grid stability. “In the course of the grid restoration, the process initially suffered a setback; this does not amount to another collapse.
